Ron Hilliard has over 30 years experience designing, implementing, and administering nonqualified executive benefit plans for the physician and corporate markets. His primary expertise is consulting with clients to help them achieve their long-range human resources objectives through the use of innovative supplemental benefit arrangements.

Ron was formerly a Vice President of USI's Executive and Professional Benefits Division. While at USI, he was responsible for implementing a variety of creative benefit programs with some of the company's largest clients.

Prior to joining USI, Ron was employed by Balser Companies as Managing Director. His primary responsibilities included managing relationships with the firm's key strategic partners - BT Alex Brown and Smith Barney, as well as consulting with several of the nation's leading publicly-traded companies.

In an earlier role as Vice President of Executive Planning Services - National Accounts at Alexander & Alexander (A&A), Ron helped build the firm's executive benefits practice, as well as manage its Executive Benefits Services National Accounts office. Ron's team was responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of nonqualified benefit plans for A&A's clients throughout the country. These offerings included split-dollar arrangements, deferred compensation plans, group life carve-out programs, and supplemental executive disability income plans.

A&A's innovative proposal and administration system was developed under Ron's leadership. The greatly enhanced consulting and administrative capabilities provided by this system allowed the firm to implement broad-based executive benefit plans with major corporations, including General Electric, H.G. Heinz, Schering Plough, and others. A&A was also able acquire several new clients due to referrals from existing customers who were pleased with the firm's industry-leading client support services.

Ron holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also holds of Chartered Life Underwriters (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations. Ron is a member of the Advanced Association of Life Underwriters (AALU).
